Myth vs Legends : The Objectives

Life as a medical student is synonymous with a busy-hectic life and also books. Apart from only a handful of them who managed to break away from these stereotypes, majority of the medical students are still trapped under these stigmas,
thus making them steering away from involvement in societies and voluntary works.

Moreover, some are even taking an advantage to their ‘student’ title as a license to ‘enjoy life to the fullest’, thinking that their life as a doctor in the future will be so demanding and time consuming.

Realizing these issues, we, IMAM EIRE UK student chapter is bringing in the bigger picture of how a doctor’s life really is and how it can be a great life experience as the main ingredient of the 7th symposium.

Our aim is to produce participants that can contribute back to the communities not only as a doctor and also beyond than that!

Thus, our formulated objectives are:

  • to build up a fundamental understanding of the values of life in each and everyone of the participants based on positive platforms as well as to thrown away the stigmas, myths and clichés in doctors’ world, be it from doctors’ or students’ perspectives.
  • to assimilate the creative thinking skills, communication and socialization through sharing moments with doctors and facilitators.
  • to aid the participants in indentifying their own abilities in various ways of contributions in the future.
